AMD launches 2.4GHz Turion ML-42

AMD has updated its price list to include the new Turion 64 ML-42 processor.

This CPU has a thermal design power of 35W and is clocked at 2.4GHz with 1MB L2 cache. The ML-42 is priced at $525 in 1,000 unit quantities.

The ML-42 should be available soon and in Q4 we can expect the ML-44 along with the MT-42 in Q1 2006.

Next year AMD will also start offering dual-core Turion processors with the Taylor core.
