Apple
Some more interesting Apple news. First up, the company's hardware engineering leader Dan Riccio is stepping down from his current position to focus entirely on a "new project" within the company. ARS Technica writes Riccio will devote his full attention to Apple's upcoming mixed reality headset. Late last week, it was rumored that the first mixed reality headset from Apple is a device with 8K displays and a dazzling price tag of $3,000.

Next there is a rumor that Apple is working on its own displays. The report indicates Johny Srouji, the executive who spearheaded the design and engineering of Apple Silicon, is now in charge of developing in-house camera and display technology.

It's unknown how far along Apple is, but the company reportedly wants to make its own high-quality components so that it can cut ties with suppliers like LG and Samsung. These displays could then be used for future Mac and iPhone products.
