NVIDIA confirms its GeForce RTX 3060 video card will hit the market on February 25. This is the most affordable Ampere-based video card to date, with an official launch price of $329. The RTX 3060 packs a GA106 GPU with 3584 CUDA cores and 12GB GDDR6 memory.
NVIDIA this morning has sent over a quick note revealing the release date for their next GeForce desktop video card, the RTX 3060. The mainstream(ish) video card, previously revealed at CES 2021 with a late February release date, has now been locked in for a launch on February 25th, with prices starting at $329.
With regards to product availability, I would keep my expectations very low. This model will also be hit by shortages -- a problem that isn't getting better anytime soon. In fact, with the current cryptocurrency boom it's bound to get even worse.

It makes us sad but folks are crazy enough to buy laptops in bulk for cryptocurrency mining so we can only imagine what they're willing to pay for discrete video cards.
