Scythe 5 Mugen is back in All Black

When it comes down to air cooling, the Scythe Mugen series remains a legendary name. For many years, Scythe has been delivering excellent coolers at relatively decent prices. Today the company introduces the Scythe Mugen 5 Black Edition cooler, this is an all-black variant of the Mugen 5 Rev.B HSF.

The same great cooler in black

It uses the same design as the Mugen 5 Rev.B but you get a black heatsink, black heatpipes, a black fan, and black accessories to make everything is dark as possible.

With the fan included, the heatsink measures 136.0mm x 110.5mm x 154.5mm (W x D x H) and weighs 890g. It has six 6mm diameter heatpipes, a large aluminum fin array, and a 120mm Kaze Flex PWM fan that offers up to 66.47CFM of airflow, up to 1.67mmH2O static pressure, and a maximum noise level of 29.75dBA.

The Mugen 5 Black Edition is compatible with Intel LGA 115x/1200/2011(v3)/2066 and AMD Socket FM1/FM2(+)/AM2(+)/AM3(+)/AM4 sockets.

The new model will be sold for $60.

The heatsink has a complete black coating and diamond engraved logo, it not only makes the cooler look good in style but also fits the most popular build color themes.

H.P.M.S.III-S
The Black Edition comes with a new mounting system (H.P.M.S III-S), supporting the latest Intel / AMD sockets on the market, and makes the installation process much easier.
