AMD paperlaunched its Radeon RX 6700 XT yesterday and now we have some more information about the custom-design cards from the firm's add-in board partners. The Radeon RX 6700 XT is supposed to hit retail shelves on March 18th, it's the first Navi 22-based video card and it offers 12GB GDDR6 memory. Performance is expected to be somewhere between the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 -- we should learn more once reviews hit the web two weeks from now.

The reference card is priced at $479 but it's unknown how many of these will be sold via AMD's webshop. Shortages are still a massive problem -- so I would expect to pay a lot more if you can get your hands on a card.

One thing that's new with the Radeon RX 6700 XT launch is that there will be no delay between the reference card and the custom-design variants.

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6700 XT series graphics cards

Gigabyte will have two cards on March 18th, the Radeon RX 6700 XT GAMING OC 12G and Radeon RX 6700 XT EAGLE 12G.
GAMING OC
The GIGABYTE WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features three unique blade fans, alternate spinning, composite copper heat pipes in direct contact with the GPU, 3D active fans and Screen cooling that work together to provide efficient heat dissipation. The middle fan spins in reverse to optimize airflow for heat dissipation, enabling more efficient performance. These cooling technologies keep the graphics card temperatures low at all times, resulting in higher and more stable performance.

WINDFORCE fans utilize graphene nano lubricant, which can extend fan life by 2.1 times, delivering nearly the lifespan of the double ball bearing while providing quiet operation. RGB fusion 2.0 allows users to adjust the color of the lights and various special effects, and synchronize with other AORUS devices. Due to its ULTRA DURABLE certified components, advanced cooling technology and custom RGB lighting, GAMING OC is the best choice for performance gamers. EAGLE
EAGLE graphics cards also feature WINDFORCE cooling technology, 3D active fans, Screen cooling, and graphene nano lubricant, enabling optimal heat dissipation and computing performance. The design of the EAGLE graphics card is inspired by science-fiction with mechanical materials, a transparent cover, and a bright logo. The graphics card includes an RGB light on the side, allowing users to adjust the color of the lights and various effects through RGB fusion 2.0, and synchronize with other AORUS devices.

Both GIGABYTE graphics cards use a multi-phase power supply, providing over-temperature protection and load balancing for each MOSFET and allowing the MOSFET to operate at a lower temperature. The ULTRA DURABLE certified chokes and capacitors provide excellent performance and longer system life. The metal back plate not only strengthens the overall structure of the graphics card, but also prevents the PCB from bending or sustaining damage.

MSI preps dual-fan Radeon RX 6700 XT cards

MSI is one of the only AIBs that puts the focus on dual-fan coolers for its RX 6700 XT series. Besides the reference card, the company will offer GAMING X and Mech 2X models. Final clockspeeds are still unknown.
GAMING series
MSI brings the GAMING series with the iconic TWIN FROZR 8 thermal design to the MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card. Compared to the previous generation, the dual fan design has been improved with TORX FAN 4.0, binding fan blade pairs together with an outer link to focus airflow into the TWIN FROZR 8 cooling system. The heatsink features advanced aerodynamic and thermodynamic technologies for efficient heat dissipation, reducing temperatures while maintaining high performance. A new design emphasizes the dazzling Mystic Light RGB infused into the card. Gamers can easily control and synchronize LED-lit components with the upgraded MSI Dragon Center software.

MECH Series
The MECH series makes its return with the MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card, now enhanced with MSI’s acclaimed TORX FAN 3.0. The performance-focused MECH design maintains the essentials to accomplish any task at hand, whether it’s for play or for work. A powerful cooling system, reinforcing brushed-finish backplate and the solid industrial aesthetic make the MECH card suitable for any PC build.

No Hellhound yet from PowerColor

Nothing new yet from PowerColor, the firm has only listed a reference-based card on its website. The firm did reveal a new product shot of a Hellhound series product, this could be a future Radeon RX 6700 XT series card. Same story over at XFX by the way, the smaller AMD AIBs need more time to finalize their custom-design Radeon RX 6700 XTs.

Three RX 6700 XT cards from ASUS

ASUS teases the designs of its ROG STRIX OC, TUF OC, and Dual RX 6700 XT video cards. As the name suggests, the latter is a dual-fan card, the other two have beefier triple-fan cooling solutions. Clockspeeds are still a mystery.
The ROG Strix Radeon™ RX 6700 XT graphics card boasts an extroverted style that wraps up all of our latest innovations for air-cooled graphics cards. We start with a massive triple-slot heatsink that uses a dense array of fins run through with seven heat pipes for high heat dissipation potential. Heatsink and GPU meet using a baseplate finished with our MaxContact process for increased surface area and better thermal transfer from the GPU.

Three fans using our latest Axial-tech design push plenty of air through the heatsink at low noise levels for a chilly and quiet GPU. We carefully considered the role of each fan in the overall cooling design, refining their barrier rings and blade counts for optimal air dispersion through every part of the heatsink. A short custom PCB creates extra room for hot air to pass directly into the case’s airflow path through a cutout in the backplate, improving overall system temperatures. A pair of our exclusive FanConnect II headers allow gamers to tie case fan speeds directly to GPU temperatures for a rush of cooling airflow when the system needs it most. Finally, a zero-dB mode at idle and under light loads helps keep the system as quiet as possible.

Distinctive style comes standard on the ROG Strix Radeon™ RX 6700 XT graphics card. A black-and-gray primary color palette enhanced with metallic accents broadcasts your ROG allegiance to the world while integrating seamlessly with elaborate case lighting schemes. The ROG Strix card also features a bold full-length addressable RGB LED strip on its left edge that’s compatible with Aura Sync for a striking light show that’s easy to coordinate with compatible peripherals.

As a finishing touch, the full-length metal backplate doesn’t just look good, in tandem with a large stiffening frame, it minimizes PCB flex when the graphics card is installed in your system. The TUF Gaming Radeon™ RX 6700 XT impresses with quiet competence

The TUF Gaming Radeon™ RX 6700 XT graphics card exudes quiet competence with a new industrial design. Its triple-slot heatsink comes sandwiched between a monochrome, brushed-aluminum shroud and a full-coverage backplate, both of which are imprinted with subtle TUF Gaming graphics to clue close observers in to your preference for purposeful performance. An Aura RGB-backlit TUF Gaming logo lets users put a finishing touch of color on the system, or it can be switched off entirely for a stealthy rig.

The TUF Gaming Radeon™ RX 6700 XT’s style may be stealthy, but its clock speeds, operating temperatures, and low noise levels make a big impression. Three counter-rotating fans built with our latest Axial-tech design move more air through the massive 2.9-slot heatsink at a given RPM for better performance without increasing noise output.

Differing blade counts between the central and outer fans optimize airflow for each zone of the heatsink to keep every component’s temperature where it needs to be. A large cut-out in the backplate ahead of the short custom PCB allows more hot air to enter the case’s natural airflow path for even better cooling performance. Finally, with a zero-dB fan mode at idle, the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6700 XT is as easy on the ears as it is on the eyes.

This card is built to take whatever you can throw at it during lengthy gaming sessions. Auto-Extreme assembly technology, used across our lineup, precisely places and solders components without human intervention to boost reliability and build quality. A 144-hour testing regime and extra-sturdy capacitors ensure out-of-the-box reliability and a long service life, and a strong reinforcement frame minimizes PCB flex when the card is installed in your system. The ASUS Dual Radeon™ RX 6700 XT puts big performance in a smaller package

The ASUS Dual Radeon™ RX 6700 XT graphics card is built to go where larger cards can’t. Our larger Radeon™ RX 6700 XT graphics cards are designed for systems where card length isn’t a limitation, but we know that many builders prefer microATX or Mini-ITX cases. The Dual Radeon™ RX 6700 XT graphics is just the ticket for those who are planning more compact PCs.

The Dual Radeon™ RX 6700 XT’s cooling power starts with a pair of fans built with our proven Axial-tech design. Their focused airflow moves through a 2.7-slot heatsink enveloped by a clean black-and-white shroud with a subtle LED accent for a classy, eye-catching style. The fans can stop at idle to keep your system’s noise signature as unobtrusive as possible during light loads.

A full-coverage aluminum backplate embossed with subtle graphics and a polished stainless steel mounting bracket keep this card looking good from any angle, while our Auto-Extreme assembly process and 144-hour validation cycle ensure it will reliably keep the pixels flowing.
