Besides Windows 11, one of the other big Windows announcements from Microsoft this year could be the reveal of a cloud-based version of Windows. There have been rumors for quite some time now about a remote version of Windows. Called Cloud PC, this is allegedly a service for businesses that will give access to a Windows 11 desktop environment on a subscription basis. At the moment, there are no further details about the feature set of Cloud PC and the specific hardware requirements. At least in theory, it could run on any Internet-connected device. Perhaps this will be a solution to get Windows 11 on Apple Silicon-based Macs.

According to Twitter leaker WalkingCat, Microsoft will reveal Cloud PC at its Inspire event on July 14-15, 2021.

A screenshot of CloudPC was leaked last month.
