Warner Bros to use Blu-ray and HD DVD

Toshiba won't be happy. First Paramount announces it will support Blu-ray too and now it looks like Warner Bros will support both the HD DVD and the Blu-ray next-generation DVD format.
If Warner Bros. also decides to side with the Blu-ray Disc, Universal Studios Inc. would become the only major U.S. studio to back only HD-DVD. Many industry analysts expect Universal Studios to shift to a two-format strategy. The moves by Paramount and Warner Bros. do not necessarily mean that the HD-DVD camp is out of the high-stakes format race.
