Twitter user HXL discovered references to a bunch of Intel 600-series chipsets in version 10.1.18836.8283 of the Intel Chipset Device Software. At least some of these chipsets will be launched alongside Intel's Alder Lake-S processors later this year.

Besides various chipsets for consumers and enterprises, one of the interesting entries is the X699. This could be a chipset for a new enthusiast-class HEDT lineup. In recent years, Intel hasn't given a lot of love to its HEDT lineup.

The regular high-end consumer lineup will see the Z690 as the high-end option. Lower-cost options will include the H670 and B660, as well as the entry-level H610.
