Apple to launch new iPods and Macs on Wednesday

ThinkSecret claims two new Apple iPod players, each available in two colors, will be launched on Wednesday. The new models will have exactly the same price as the ones they replace: $299 and $399.

According to their sources the $399 will be smaller than its predecessor and will feature a 80GB HDD while the $299 will feature double the capacity (40GB). The color options will likely be the same as the iPod nano, white and black. But unfortunately it looks like there's no iPod video.
Apple is reportedly not worried about extending the capacity gap between the 4GB iPod nano and the current 20GB iPod as the nano and iPod mini it replaced have sold far more units than the full-size ipod. Meanwhile, one Madonna fan site has predicted that Apple will debut a pink Madonna-edition iPod nano. Think Secret sources could not confirm that development, however.
Oh, and at least four new Mac computers will be announced on Wednesday.
