Intel cooked up a new cooler for its Alder Lake CPUs. VideoCardz reports 65W Alder Lake-S models will receive a new boxed cooler that's named RM1. Overall, it looks pretty familiar. It's a small round aluminum heatsink with a central fan and a LED strip.
Intel has not launched a boxed version of its 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake K-series”, which are 125W TDP by default. For those, powerful AIO cooling solutions are recommended. However, the upcoming non-K series with PL1 set to 65W may be cooled using conventional air-coolers. The RM1 version is a short cooler with an LED strip around the fan.
Intel is expected to reveal 35W and 65W TDP Alder Lake-S processors at CES 2022 on January 4th, 2022.
