Microsoft debuted Windows Live on Tuesday and Neowin got their hands on a few screenshots of the Windows Live Messenger part.

Windows Live Messenger will be the next generation of MSN Messenger and will have a simplified interface and a fresh coloured look. A beta version of this instant messaging client is expected within a month and Microsoft is still looking for beta testers.

The program will feature better PIM functionality, Skype-like calling features, better support for MSN Spaces and Windows Live Local integration.

You can check out the screenshots over here. They show the buddy list, Windows Live Call and buddy information windows.
