DigiTimes reports the VIA K8T900 chipset for the AMD platform will be mass produced in the first quarter of next year.
VIA has worked closely with S3 Graphics to ensure support for S3’s upcoming MultiChrome technology, which enables two or more Chrome S27 cards to operate at the same time to deliver higher levels of 3D acceleration, according to VIA. The VIA K8T900 features dual x8 PCI Express (PCIe) connections to ensure plenty of graphics bandwidth for graphic cards, without the need for special connectors or cables, said the company.
