ATI R580 is almost ready

VR-Zone reports ATI's next flagship, the R580, is in final sampling stage.

This chip entered tape-out stage in the middle of the third quarter of this year and it will be available in stores by early 2006. It is now in volume shipments for sampling.

Additionally, ATI will also enhance its entry-level GPU lineup with new 80nm RV560, RV535 and RV505 GPUs.
