DigiTimes reports Palm's vice president, Paul Blinkhorn, said his company will unveil new smartphones with a Linux-based operating system.
Palm, in cooperation with China-based CEC Telecom, launched its Chinese version Treo 650 smartphone in China early this month. The GSM/GPRS quad-band Treo 650 uses the Palm OS.

With PalmSourceā€™s acquisition of a Linux-based handset software developer in Nanjing, China, Palm is likely to build mobile phones using the Linux OS, said Blinkhorn, as quoted by Sina.
