Sharkoon has presented a new USB stick and card reader combination called the Flexi-Drive XC+. Flexi-Drive XC+ functions simultaneously as a card reader and as a USB stick. The two-in-one data medium reads and writes in Secure Digital and Multi Media Card formats as well as miniSD, microSD, MMCmicro, and MMCmobile formats with the use of an additional adapter.

When connected to the PC as a card reader, the Flexi-Drive XC+ allows different cards to be inserted and used without having to reboot. By inserting a memory card, it is transformed into a USB stick with read and write access. The memory capacity can be varied arbitrarily according to which flash card is used.

The stick measures 70 x 28.7 x 12 mm (w x h x d) and has a translucent gray housing. It supports USB 2.0 and the data transfer rate for SD format cards can reach up to 18.5MB/s and 11MB/s for MMC format cards.
