ATI Radeon X1900 to have two slot cooling design

ATI wil launch its Radeon X1900 (codenamed R580) in Q1 2006, VR-Zone reports. This card will replace the Radeo X1800 XT (R520), meaning this card will probably only have a life span of 6 months.

The new R580 architecture will be pin to pin compatible with the Radeon X1800 XT PCBs and it will have a similar two slot cooling design.

Also in Q1 we can expect the G71 GPU from NVIDIA, which will compete with ATI's R580.
