The Inquirer reports the rumours about Intel's Merom processor being delayed aren't true.

According to their intel the Merom, Conroe and Woodcrest are on schedule. They will arrive by July/August in best case or September/October for the worst case - and currently it looks like most will make it by the best dates.

Currently Intel is sending out samples of its Conroe XE processors and these are running at a clockspeed of 3.33GHz.
