ATI Radeon X1900 XTX arrives in sufficient quantity

The Inquirer reports ATI has shipped out more than 10,000 ATI Radeon X1900 series cards, which should be more than enough for everyone who wants one to grab one now.
We also learned that sixty percent of these are the fastest flagship Radeon 1900XTX cards. So if you want one you should be able to find one. Don't wait too long. This is going to be the fastest card for a month or two as we don't expect Nvidia to get its G71 out before late February. Folk like the fastest, so there is a chance that these ATI cards will disappear like hot chestnuts on a cold Viennese morning.

Nvidia claimed that it launched 7800 GTX 512 in quantities of more than 10K pieces but we hear that this number might have been a bit optimistic. Nvidia had to heavily overclock its 110 nanometre core to get the G70 for 7800 GTX 512 working at 550MHz+, while ATI is safe with 650MHz+ using its approved 90 nanometre process. But still, the ATI offering gets hot as it has loads of transistors under the hood.
