Logitech MX700 review

Conclusion :
This was the very first cordless mouse that I’ve tested and I must say that it exceeded my expectations! In the past, I’ve heard several rumors of cordless mice that were lagging and things like that but with Logitech’s MX700 I didn’t encounter any of those problems. The tracking was even better than most other optical mice out there and having a cordless mouse really gives you a better feeling than having one with a cord. Hehe it’s quite relaxing to sit in your chair and using your leg as mousepad ;). With the batteries, it feels quite heavy but that’s not a bad thing cause it makes your mousing experience more stable and you don’t have to worry that your mouse will fall off your desk accidentally.

The price is with his $80 quite expensive but I think this mouse is worth it and I'm giving it a 9/10! If the battery's life was a few days longer then I would even give it a perfect 10/10!

UPDATE : I've received a few comments about the battery life so I'm giving this review a small update. Well I mostly forget to load the batteries when I'm not using the mouse and because of that, I wrote it up as a bad point. The reason why the battery life is so short would be because Logitech didn't have to worry about power saving functions because of the base station that is also used to charge the batteries. These power saving functions caused lag on most cordless mice. An example of one new technology that Logitech made for these mice is the FastRF cordless technology which according to Logitech sends about five times more information to your pc at a transmission rate of about 20x higher than most other cordless mice. And I can imagine that this will consume more power.

The good stuff :
Cool looking mouse
Very good tracking
Cordless
Lot’s of buttons that you can give your own functions
Heavy
USB to PS/2 connector included

The bad stuff :
Short battery life
Expensive
