    Google Blog Search more popular than Technorati

    Hitwise reports Google Blog Search has surpassed Technorati this month. Google's Blog Search increased its market share by a huge 168% last month when Google started placing links to Blog Search on the homepage of Google News. Since then roughly 60 percent of all traffic to Google Blog Search comes from Google News, compared to less than 1 percent before the change.



    Demographic data from Hitwise show visitors 34 percent of visitors of Google Blog Search are 18-24 years old, while on Technorati only 10 percent of the visitors were in that age group. Hitwise says more than 36.5 percent of the visitors of Technorati are above 45 years old, compared to 27 percent on Google Blog Search. Both sites
