Intel Xeon prices to drop on April 22 and in Q3

The price war between AMD and Intel is heating up further as Intel will cut prices of existing Xeon processors on April 22nd and then cut again in the third quarter.

In the third quarter Intel will also debut the 2.66GHz X3230 Xeon (1066MHz FSB, 8MB cache) and 1333MHz FSB dual-core units too.

In the third quarter the firm will also launch the quad-core Clovertown under the X5365 name with a clockspeed of 3GHz, this chip will cost over $1,100.
