"NVIDIA to launch GeForce 6800 PRO"

Posted on Tuesday, April 27 2004 @ 17:41:45 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

According to the Italian site Hardware Upgrade there will come a thirth NV40 card, the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 PRO. This card will fit in speed between the non-Ultra and the Ultra version. This card is rumoured to have a core clocked at 350MHz and DDR3 memory at 1000MHz.
The Italians suspect that this card will end up with 12 pipelines and we suspect that it will be around $399.

This card should directly compete with the R420, soon to be officially named the Radeon X800PRO.
