MSI unveils two motherboards for AMD Business Class

Posted on Wednesday, April 30 2008 @ 04:00:15 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Motherboard maker MSI has unveiled two new motherboards for the AMD Business Class label; the K9A2GM-FD and K9N2VM-FD.
Advantages for System Integrators The two Business Class models from MSI both have exceptional performances and are energy efficient. Based on the latest generation chipsets with onboard DX10 graphics, both mainboards support Hybrid SLI or Hybrid Crossfire. This technology makes it possible to switch off discrete VGA cards when they are not used. This minimizes the power of the complete platform. The mainboards are ready for Energy Star 4.0 and support the Cool ‘n’Quiet 2.0 technologies from AMD which uses the C1E power state to reduce power usage in idle mode.

To maximize security the MSI mainboards are equipped with a TPM 1.2 pinheade. With an optional TPM module system integrators can offer their customers maximum security on this platform. Both model from MSI are the first micro ATX AMD models which offer full support for 125Watt AM2+ CPU’s so system integrators can choose between a wide range of CPU’s.

System integrators that will choose the MSI K9A2VM-FD or the MSI K9N2GM-FD will not only have the AMD Business Class advantages but also receive the benefit of the MSI channel structure of distributors and service centres. Besides this it is possible to validate their system for Windows XP WHQL or Windows Vista WHQL and Energy Star 4.0.
