MSI send over the results of the MSI European Overclocking Challenge 2008. This event was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, this weekend with the best overclockers from 20 European countries!
All contestants received an MSI P45D3 Platinum mainboard with DrMOS to overclock. On Sunday the 24th of August, the winners were announced by MSI: Hipro5 and Gprhellas from Greece! The number two were Hey and Tosuner mc from Turkey and the third place was won by Florian and Marmott from France.

The first prize was an MSI GX600, world’s first overclockable notebook. Next to that, the top 3 overclockers could keep the gear (MSI P45D3 Platinum mainbord, MSI N9600GT-T2D512 VGA, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, OCZ DDR3 PC3-16000 Platinum Edition memory, Silencer 750 Quad power supply) that was supplied to them for the event. On top of that, MSI was proud to announce a grand prize for the top 3 contestants: a ticket to the MSI World Wide Overclocking Challenge in November this year, in Taiwan!

The jury was impressed by the performance of the winners Hipro5 and Gprhellas: “They had the best scores on all benchmarks (164% higher performance than the non overclocked system), so they are definitely the right European Champions.” At the start of the event, Greece was already tipped to be one of the favourites for the title. Hipro5 was very happy winning the Overclocking Challenge: “Overclocking till death, Overclocking is Life!”
