ASUS shipped 700,000 Eee PCs in September

Asian sources claim shipments of the Asus Eee PC reached a new record in September, DigiTimes writes the firm shipped 700,000 Eee PCs in September and around 1.7 million units during the total third quarter.
Asustek Computer shipped around 700,000 Eee PCs in September this year, a new monthly high for the company. Total shipments for the third quarter reached around 1.7 million units, and since October and November are traditionally peak months, the company expects fourth-quarter shipments will maintain at a similar level, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
