Foxconn Quantum Force Blood Rage X58 motherboard pictured, specced

Posted on Friday, October 17 2008 @ 23:19:19 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

VR Zone published two photos and the specifications of the upcoming "Blood Rage" Quantum Force X58 motherboard from Foxconn. This X58 motherboard supports Quad CrossFire, 3-way SLI + PhysX, triple channel DDR3 up to 1800MHz (overclocked), 14-phase hybrid PWM and DirectFET MOSFET technology.

The Blood Rage has a 4-in-1 Quantum cooler with modular NB/SB/VRM cooling with interchangeable NB cooling adaptors for air, water or LN2 cooling. The motherboard also has a special BIOS with lots of overclocking options and a QF Panel for in one of your case's 5.25" drive bays for on-the-fly overclocking. Also nice is the included SONAR X-Fi sound card and the SAS support. Pricing is unknown but it sounds pretty expensive.

    Here are the specifications:
  • CPU: Intel LGA1366 support, 4 cores, 8 threads, 8MB shared cache IMC, 6.4GT/s QPI bus. Supports VRD 11.1 with 130W TDP.

  • Chipset: Intel X58 and ICH10R

  • QPI: Up to 6.4GT/s

  • Memory: triple channel DDR3 1800 (OC), 1600 (OC), 1333, 1066MHz, 3* DIMMs, 24GB max.

  • Slots: 4x PCIe 2.0 x16 slots with ATI CrossFireX (2x x16 or 4x x8 bandwidth) and NVIDIA 3-way SLI (2x x16 +1 x8 bandwidth + PhysX card support)

  • Storage: SATA RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 (Intel MST), 6x SATA, 2x eSATA, 2x SAS, 12x USB 2.0, 2x FireWire, 1x PATA

  • Networking: Dual Gigabit LAN

  • Audio: SONAR X-Fi audio card with Creative X-Fi technology
