Arctic Accelero XTREME GTX280 VGA cooler unveiled

Posted on Friday, January 16 2009 @ 22:00:35 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Arctic Cooling has introduced a new version of the Accelero Xtreme cooler that supports NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 260, 280 and 285 graphics cards. The 680g cooler is designed to dissipate up to 250W, it features a copper base, five copper heatpipes and lots of aluminum fins that are cooled by three silent 92mm PWM fans that generate an airflow of up to 81CFM. The heatsink uses pre-applied MX-2 thermal paste and there are also heatsinks for the RAM and voltage regulators.

According to Arctic Cooling, the Accelero Xtreme GTX280 will keep your graphics card much cooler than the stock cooler, while generating a lot less noise.

The Accelero Xtreme GTX280 will ship in March 2009, it has a 6-year warranty and will be priced at $54.95 (42.95EUR, excl. VAT).
