Creative working on Windows 7 drivers

Posted on Wednesday, April 29 2009 @ 08:40:36 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Creative recently announced it's working on Windows 7 drivers for its products, beta drivers are already available for some Sound Blaster and headset products. Full details can be found at Creative's Windows 7 driver availability chart.
Current products that will automatically support the Windows 7 Beta operating system include Creative ZEN® MP3 players, Creative Vado™ pocket video cameras and Creative Live!® webcams introduced in the last two years. Updated drivers for certain Creative legacy products will be made available to users at a later date.

"We are very pleased to release the first wave of compatible drivers to allow a smooth transition to the new Windows 7 Beta operating system. Our engineers have fine-tuned the Sound Blaster and X-Fi drivers so users will be able to enjoy the same award-winning audio enhancement effects they have experienced in earlier versions of Windows," said Steve Erickson, Vice-President and General Manager of Audio and Video for Creative Labs, Inc.
