Intel Lynnfield to debut in second week of September

DigiTimes received details about Intel's processor plans for the next couple of months.

The site heard desktop Lynnfield processors and the P55 chipset will be announced between September 8-11, while three Clarksfield processors will be launched by the end of September or October.
Intel's three Clarksfield CPUs – the Core 2 Extreme XE 2GHz, Core 2 Quad P2 1.73GHz and Core 2 Quad P1 1.6GHz – will be ready to debut sometime around the end of September and October of 2009, the sources noted.

Intel also plans to announce Celeron SU2300 and Celeron 743 CPUs for ultra-thin notebooks by the end of September.
Additionally, the chip giant will also debut the Xeon W5590, W3580, W3550 and L5530 server CPUs in early August, and the Xeon X3470, 3460, 3450, 3440 and 3430 along with the 3400 and 3420 chipsets are expected along the launch of the Lynnfield processors.
