EKL revises Alpenföhn Norwand CPU cooler

Posted on Monday, November 02 2009 @ 18:25:13 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

TC Mag reports EKL is working on a B revision of the Alpenföhn Nordwand, this new CPU cooler is expected to be available by year-end. Just like the first edition it features five heatpipes, an aluminum tower heatsink and a 120mm blue LED fan - the difference is that the heatsink of the B revision has been polished to achieve a mirror-like finish.
The Alpenföhn Nordwand measures 131 x 71 x 155 mm and weights 860 grams, has five copper heatpipes (with direct heatpipe touch technology), and a 120mm hydro bearing fan equipped with four blue LEDs that works between 850 and 1500 RPM and has a maximum sound output of 21 dB(A). Alpenföhn Nordwand Rev. B is compatible with Intel LGA 775, 1156, 1366 and AMD AM2(+), AM3 processors, and is scheduled to debut by the end of this year.
