Logitech introduced the V270 Cordless Optical notebook mouse which doesn't need its own receiver because it is equipped with Bluetooth wireless connectivity to connect it wirelessly with notebook PCs and Apple's PowerBook notebooks that have an integrated Bluetooth receiver.

The Logitech V270 mouse is based on the design of the Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks, which has been a best seller among the rapidly growing number of notebook PC users. The mouse, charcoal gray in color, uses Bluetooth 1.2 wireless technology, which features adaptive frequency hopping to reduce the chance of interference from other 2.4 GHz wireless devices such as Wi-Fi notebooks or cordless telephones.

With typical use, the mouse achieves a battery life of up to three months, which can be extended with the mouse´s convenient on/off switch. Also, as part of Logitech´s smart power management system, the mouse features a low-battery indicator light, helping remove the potential surprise of a dead battery. The Logitech V270 mouse has a 1000 dpi optical engine, providing smooth, precision tracking on a wide variety of surfaces — important for the mobile professional who uses the mouse on the road.

The Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse for Bluetooth will be available in November for $49.99.
