Enermax is best known for its series of power supplies but over the years the Taiwanese company has branched out into several other product categories. Named after the Greek god of wind, the company's Aeolus laptop cooling pads promise enough airflow to keep your laptop at a cooler temperature.
The latest addition to Enermax's Aeolus lineup is the Aeolus Premium CP003, a premium laptop cooler designed for systems of up to 17". The cooler ships in a cardboard box with carrying handle, the package has a nice front design and the rear side describes all features and specifications of the product so you can make an informed purchase when you encounter this product in a retail store.
The CP003 has a stylish brushed aluminium design and is available in two versions; black (CP003-B) and titanium grey (CP003-G). The latter one is the subject of this review.
After the unboxing you'll be greeted by the XXL-sized fan. The cooling pad is made from brushed aluminium, it has a steel honeycomb-shaped mesh and a massive 250mm blue LED fan. The cooler measures 350mm x 335mm x 45mm (L x W x H) and weighs 1.3kg.
The titanium grey edition has a dark grey color, it looks very elegant and the first impression you'll get is that this isn't some cheap toy.

In the aluminium frame Enermax mounted a large steel mesh to provide enough airflow to your laptop.
The top left corner features a shiny Enermax logo.
And in the right bottom corner is the Aeolus logo. As I mentioned earlier, Aeolus is the ruler of the winds in Greek mythology, quite a fitting name for a cooling product. In the picture below you can also see the raised lip above the wrist rest, which prevents your laptop from sliding off the pad.
