Patriot unveiled new 64GB, 128GB and 256GB Torqx solid state disks, these models feature 64MB of DRAM cache but it is unknown which controller they use.

The 128GB and 256GB units have a sequential read speed of up to 260MB/s and a sequential write speed of up to 180MB/s, while the 64GB model has to do it with a read speed of 220MB/s and write speed of 135MB/s.
The Torqx SSD line is one of Patriot's latest releases designed with Patriot's new cutting-edge technology that adds 64MB of DRAM cache in conjunction with its current equipped NAND technology.

"With SSD technologies becoming more 'mainstream' in the consumer market, Patriot's goal is to give their customers discretion across their purchasing preferences," says Meng J. Choo, Patriot's Flash Product Manager. "In these tough economic times, consumers are looking for options; our goal is to give them that opportunity to add new technology, and have no reservations about their decisions."
