After a 12.5 years run today is the day when we finally say goodbye to Microsoft's Windows XP.

The operating system received its final security updates today but nearly 28 percent of Internet users worldwide are still using this ancient OS!

Windows XP users on Internet-connected systems are highly advised to upgrade asap to a more modern operating system to prevent a security nightmare.

Three years from now we'll see the death of Windows Vista but that event is expected to cause significantly less trouble than the EOL (end-of-life) of Windows XP.
