Trademark applications in the Europe and the US reveal HTC's upcoming standalone VR headset will be called Vive Focus.

This device is described as a "head mounted display for computer simulated reality", all the hardware is integrated into the headset so you won't need a computer or a smartphone.

The Vive Focus will use the Google Daydream platform, it will come with a controller and will support six degrees of freedom. Pricing and availability is unknown, perhaps HTC will announce this untethered headset at CES 2018 in January.
