Sony today unleashed a small, light high-definition (HD) camcorder for consumers.
Called the HDR-HC1, the new camera will also sell for about half the price of the prior model when it goes on sale in July for roughly 180,000 yen ($1,684). The HDR-FX1, its predecessor, has been selling well with a retail price of about 400,000 yen.
