Intel's dual-core Itanium 2 and Xeon processors slated for Q3 2005

DigiTimes unveiled that Intel will launch its dual-core Itanium 2 and Xeon processors in the third quarter of this year. This includes the Itanium 2, Xeon MP and Xeon DP.

The Montecito will be called the Intel Itanium 2 9000 series, the Xeon processors will include the Xeon MP7000 series based on the MP Paxville, and the Xeon DP5000 based on the DP Dempsey.
