Crucial has just released the T710 series of SSDs, Gen5 NVMe, packing a Silicon Motion SM2508G AC controller along with the LPDDR4-4266 cache and the G9 NAND (276-layer TLC) B68S FortisFlash. The 2TB model is rated for 1200TBW, 1.5M MTTF and sports impressive read/write performance over Gen4 drives. The operating temperatures are now similar to high-end PCIe 4.0 offerings and only current pricing does hold a bit back large scale adoption.
