HYTE Y50 RGB Case Review
Posted on by Thomas De Maesschalck
HYTE built its reputation on panoramic glass cases that turn heads — but that reputation came with a price tag. The HYTE Y50 changes that equation, bringing the brand's signature three-panel curved glass design down to a $99.99 MSRP, making it the most accessible case in HYTE's Y-Series lineup to date. Positioned as a smaller, more affordable sibling to the premium Y70, the Y50 doesn't feel like a stripped-down budget box. It ships with four RGB fans pre-installed, supports E-ATX, ATX, mATX, and ITX motherboards, and — notably for a case at this price — offers native compatibility with rear-connect platforms like ASUS BTF, Gigabyte STEALTH, and MSI Project ZERO. A stair-stepped internal floor frees up extra clearance for radiators and cable routing, while the case supports up to a 410mm, 46mm-thick radiator up top for serious cooling headroom. The real question this review sets out to answer: does the Y50 deliver genuine Y-Series build quality and thermal performance, or is the sub-$100 price the result of corners cut somewhere you'll notice once components are installed? I'll walk through the design, build experience, as well as thermal and acoustic testing. Let's take a look!
