BFG 7800 GTX OC Review

Posted on Friday, July 15 2005 @ 22:45:20 CEST by LSDsmurf

A stock/reference GeForce 7800 GTX is set to run at 430 MHz core/1200 MHz. With BFG’s GeForce 7800 GTX OC, the core runs at a much-improved 460 MHz, and the memory at a whopping 1300 MHz! Those are increases of 30 MHz and 100 MHz, respectively. Now, I know what you’re thinking – there must be some kind of price premium on this video card, since it is clocked considerably higher than the NVIDIA reference design, right? Not quite. The second perk in this whole deal is that this card is available for the same 7800 GTX MSRP retail price of $599.
