Microsoft released its free MSN Virtual Earth service on Monday, June 25 and the guys from PC Mag already provide us with a closer look at this map tool. Here's a snip:
Microsoft's new MSN Virtual Earth 1.0 adds some strong mapping capabilities to the MSN portfolio, including digital satellite imagery and nicely integrated local search. Aiming at keeping it simple, Microsoft's entry into advanced interactive mapping shows a lot of promise. There are some limitations in the public beta, but the service should only improve as better coverage of U.S. and world locations is added.
