That being the case, the fastest ATI card that you can buy right now is the RADEON X850 XT Platinum Edition. The availability of PE cards has been sketchy for a few months now, so the majority of card partners have opted to market the non-PE variant of the R480 design with more gusto. The X850 XT may lack a little core speed and memory bandwidth when compared with the range-topping PE, sure, but it's widely available in the retail channel.
