In follow-up to the “Shuttle XPC 250W Power Supply” PC40, Shuttle offers the “Silent X 300W Power Supply” PC50. This unit is marketed as “the optimal solution for Shuttle and its customers to support the ever increasing demand for power placed upon XPC systems by the latest technological advances”. In other words, more power for the ever increasing number of power-hungry CPUs, graphics cards and multiple hard disk and optical drive computer. Of course, having those extra 50 to 100 Watts should make a difference, but SFF users want all the speed and power without sacrificing their need for a quiet computer.
