Ever since Panasonic released the GD88 clamshell phone, their obsession with slim designs has continued ever since. An onslaught of X100, X200, X400, A500 and many more models is a clear indication of where they are heading with the principle styling of all their consumer mobile phones. The latest dose of Panasonic slimness to hit retail is the new VS2 (Visual Slim) line of clamshell handsets. Its “Visual Slim” tagline is rightly appropriate because underneath that slim physique that weighs just 98g and 18.2mm thick is a brilliant 2.2-inch QVGA LCD that is capable of displaying 16 million colors.
