Here's a personal observation: Taiwanese hardware manufacturers seem to have one thing in common. They dabble in almost every conceivable product in the hardware market, from components like motherboards to consumer electronics like notebooks and audio players. From ASUS to AOpen, these vendors may have certain strengths in a few segments but they will invariably have their fingers in every pie. Gigabyte belongs to this group, with a diverse range of products; they even have mobile phones, something that may seem incongruous with its core business.
