This anime takes place in a fictional country known as Gazth-Sonika where civil war has ravaged the land for the last twelve years. Within this war are two people who share absolutely no connection to each other but it’s obvious that by the time this series is over, they are going to know each other very well.

The first person in question is a young beautiful woman named Madlax who is a soft spoken mercenary for hire. Enabled by her boss, SSS (but called Three Speed), she takes on her missions with a graceful fury and is just at ease killing you in fatigues as she is in a beautiful dress.
