With the release of the Stylus 800 (called Mju 800 across Europe) Olympus extends its series of all-weather cameras into the 8 megapixel range, and takes the opportunity to equip it with a 2.5-inch monitor. The new Stylus camera retains the smooth design of earlier Stylus camera. The lens barrel, the light silver coloured front of the body, and the darker silver piece that rings the body are all made of metal, while the rest of the body is made of plastic with matching tones..
