TITAN Vanessa Heatpipe CPU Coolers Review
Posted on 2006-01-21 22:14:58 by LSDsmurfCPU technology is advancing so very rapidly that many of us would have forgotten the days when CPUs would chug along happily without any heatsink at all. With Moore's Law ticking in the background of Personal Computing, we find CPUs sporting double the number of transistors of their predecessors every 18 months or so. As the manufacturing process shrinks and leakage current increases, today's microprocessors are producing more heat than ever before. Ironically, the process shrink leads to CPUs having a smaller die to dissipate heat. Better heatsinks have to be used, and many are forced to adopt furiously fast fans on heatsinks to move heat, resulting in excessive noise and vibration..
