The back of the unit, looks just like I would expect it to - speaker protruding into one's ear, and a small hole for the microphone. Problem is, the speaker doesn't really fit into my ear very well - more to the top of my ear than the center. Which means one has to turn up the volume louder than you would if the speaker was directly in your ear canal. Studies have shown that in ear headsets have a tendency to do less damage to your hearing because you don't need the volume as loud to accomplish the same effect - the H300 does not fit into this category.
