Unfortunately all of this great technology costs a ton of money. The latest video cards cost about $500, which isn't exactly cheap. Even the Xbox 360 video game console costs $400, which is generally considered a hobby for kids and teens – a.k.a. the consumers with limited amounts of cash. That is a bit of a problem for a company who's in the video card business (with any business, really – it's that whole Supply vs. Demand thing). If you're product is too expensive, not many people could buy even if they wanted to.
